Riders, listen up. Lane Clegg is back!
If you are snowboard level 3 certified, or level 2 certified and aspiring to level 3 and becoming an Alaska Division Clinic Leader (DCL) please set aside Friday, January 15, 2010 at Alyeska Resort for free clinician-examiner training.
This train-the-trainers session will be conducted for the second consecutive year by the best of the best: Lane Clegg of Salt Lake, Coach of the AASI National Snowboard Demo Team. It’s official PSIA/AASI training and counts for 6 hours toward your continuing education requirement of 12 hours every 2 years.
And it’s FREE for you. It is the Alaska Division’s way of honoring you for accepting leadership and preparing to train and examine our instructors, especially in Southcentral.
As a courtesy to Lane, please call Alaska Division Senior Snowboard Examiner Zane Moses in Anchorage, cell 351-9263, so we’ll have an idea of how big a group he should expect. The only requirement is level 2 or 3 certification, and being current in your AASI dues. If you have questions, ask Zane.
Please meet ready-to-ride at 10 a.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 near the Mountain Learning Center desk in the Alyeska Resort Day Lodge. Just fill out the registration form, no money needed.
This event is coordinated, and costs are shared with, Alyeska Resort Mountain Learning Center through its Director, Garth McPhie. Lane will be conducting in-house training for Alyeska earlier in the week. Lane will be here two additional days, which will be used mostly for development of certification and clinician-examiner selection-training-retention policies.
Come shred with Lane. You won’t regret it.
P.S. We’re planning for Rider Rally, open to all snowboard members, in February. More as the schedule is confirmed.
